Pakistan Security Lapse: Two Blasts rocked the Church

ShekinahToday 22nd September 2013: The old and historic church of Pakistan  was bombed in Khohati Gate, Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. More than 60 are killed are 125 are injured. The death toll is on the rise.

Church of Pakistan was attacked while Sunday services was going on 22nd September. More than 600-700 people were in the Church when the blasts hit the Church.

According to the eye witness, two suicide bombers entered the Church during the end of the service when two blasts happened.

No Government official visited the place at the time of writing these lines.

The eyes witnesses have told the local Geo TV that Blasts have happened due to the security breach. The Government of Pakistan have failed to protect minorities.

According to the report, No help desk was provided at the scene of incident. The mourning Christians community showed anger at the lack of help

Local Christian community staged a protest demonstration while their was no one who rescued them and lamented the absence of infrastructure.

The Bishop of the Churches of Pakistan has announced a three day mourning period and has urged all missionary schools and educational institutions to close. The attack is already being called one of the worst assaults on Christians in Pakistan for years; as the details unfold, it is expected that the death toll will rise.
